Precision CAD is the foundation of reliable manufacturing. A model built without downstream manufacturing in mind creates problems that compound: incorrect tolerances that require remachining, feature trees that collapse when a dimension changes, or assembly sequences that look correct on screen but are impossible to execute with real tools. We build fully parametric models and assemblies that remain editable as the design evolves, with organised feature trees, named sketches, and logical assembly hierarchies that any engineer can pick up and continue without needing to reverse-engineer the intent. Late-stage design changes are part of every real project; our files are structured to absorb them without requiring a rebuild from scratch.
From Sketch to Technical Drawing
We produce technical drawings to industry standards, complete with tolerances, GD&T callouts, and material specifications, ready to hand directly to machinists, fabricators, or injection molders. The starting point can be a napkin sketch, a physical reference part that needs to be reverse-modelled, or a high-level engineering brief describing function and constraints. In each case, we translate intent into geometry that can be manufactured as specified. We have worked with aluminium extrusion profiles, injection-molded consumer housings, bespoke jigs, and precision mechanical assemblies. The approach is the same regardless of scale: model what can actually be made, document it clearly, and deliver files that do not require interpretation at the machine.
Manufacturability From the First Feature
Our CAD work spans consumer product development, industrial components, bespoke fixtures, and tooling aids. Downstream manufacturability is considered from the first feature: draft angles, wall thicknesses, fastener access, parting line geometry, and assembly sequence are all addressed before a drawing is issued. We are direct about constraints. If a geometry as specified cannot be manufactured to the required tolerance within a reasonable cost envelope, we say so and propose alternatives. The goal is a design that works in production, not one that works only on screen.
